What are the different modes of transportation?
There are basically 4 means of transportation to move your boxes:

Truck (local and domestic moves)
Air (domestic and international moves)
Sea (international moves)
Rail (domestic moves)

What is the exit permit?
Easily obtained, the exit permit is a document that is issued by the property management and that has been approved by the landlord to allow the tenant to vacate the premises.

What official customs documentation is needed?
In China: Original passport and working permit are required for 3 working days to clear customs.

Overseas: Please visit our Download Center to verify which documents will be required from you in order to clear customs at destination.

What's the difference between loading volume vs packing list volume?
The loading volume or final packed volume is the volume loaded in the truck or container.
It is the volume that the boxes and furniture will take into the truck or container once all put together.

The packing list volume is the addition of the volumes of each box and piece of furniture.
It doesn't take into consideration the space left between 2 boxes and is therefore lower than the loading volume.

Our invoices are based on the final packed volumes.

What if the final packed volume is different from the estimate?
Usually, the final packed volume should be very close to the estimate.
If the final pack volume is under the estimate, we will refund the difference, if above we will charge the difference.

What's the final packed volume or "loading volume"?
The final packed volume is the loaded volume in the truck or container.
It is the volume that the boxes and furniture will take into the truck or container once all put together.

Estimate of volume - How does it work?
Your removal consultant will go with you through each room of your home in order to list all of the items that you wish to include in your removal.

All our removal consultants are trained to have a keen eye so that by guiding them through your home and by showing them an exhaustive description of what needs to be moved, they will be able to come up with a very detailed and accurate estimate of the final volume to be moved.

You will then receive a service offer based on your needs and on the estimated volume we calculated.

What is the typical schedule for a move?

A regular move starts usually around 9AM~9:30AM

Step 1: briefing of the supervisor (checking what needs to be moved room by room)
Step 2: briefing of the packers
Step 3: packing & moving

The lunch break is usually from 11:30AM to 12:30PM (1 hour).
A working day usually finishes the latest around 5PM.

What are the payment terms like?

Payment Terms
Moving (International, domestic and local): At the latest, full payment should be cleared on the packing day.
Shipping: At the latest, full payment should be cleared before the release of the shipment from origin.
Pet Relo: Full payment cleared on pickup day, at the latest.

Penalties
If full payment cannot be collected by the deadline, a penalty of RMB 500.00 can be rightfully required on top of the total invoiced amount.
Following the first penalty, every additional 7 days without the full payment cleared can result in an additional penalty of RMB 300.00.

*for domestic and international moves: if the final packed volume differs from the initial estimated volume, the balance will be accounted after the packing and confirmation of the volume.
A refund or an invoice for additional amount would be processed afterwards.

Storage
Full invoiced payment in advance (at least 7 working days before the beginning of the following month of storage)

Penalties
If the full invoiced amount has not been received by the first day of the current month of storage, a penalty of RMB 500.00 can be rightfully required on top of the total invoiced amount.
Following this first penalty, every additional 7 days without the full payment received can result in an additional penalty of RMB 300.00 

Submitting payment for your move before the moving day will allow us to cover the costs related to your move immediately. Thus, allowing us to deliver higher quality service sooner.

What are the different methods of payment?

We accept 4 types of payment methods:

By cash
By bank transfer
By Paypal*
By credit card* (through Paypal)

*please note that through Paypal, an additional fee of 4% for commission and exchange rate fee will occur.

Accepted currencies (except for cash payments): Chinese Yuan, US Dollars, HK Dollars, Euros, British Pounds, Canadian Dollars, Singapore Dollars, Australian Dollars.
For cash payments, only Chinese Yuan are accepted.

If I do not need or want the unpacking service will there be a discount?
In general, you can expect a discount when no unpacking service is needed.
However, the discount amount will be different depending on the country of destination and it is not likely to be major.
The reason for this is because the majority of the costs at destination will stay the same (costs for clearing customs, costs for the logistics between the port and the delivery address, movers’ salaries).
The only difference is the number of assigned movers that may vary from a move where unpacking would be required.
